#YouAreEnough
We are surrounded by a lot of hatred, criticisms, judgments, negativity, discouragements, and insecurity. There are times we feel that we are never good enough for someone. We find ourselves, short, lacking, and seem to be doing everything wrong, doubting our abilities and questioning ourselves. But the Bible says, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:13-14 (NIV) If we are created wonderful, then we are more than good enough. This art series is a representation of those people who has been made felt that they are never good enough and to remind those who are hurting that they are more than good enough.
Before and after the holidays, been to series of emotional ups and downs, I cried, I rejoiced, and cried again. Got angry, sad, disappointed, and discouraged. I’m just human after all. And just as the new year began challenges arose and all I could do is surrender it all to God. I felt rejected, but I was again reminded by God that I am #GoodEnough despite all my flaws and He has good plans for me. This piece is done with Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pens, PanPastels, and pigment pens.
2nd piece for the "Good Enough" art series. This is for those who suffered in the hands of others even if it isn't their fault and can't speak up for fear. Let this speak for you. Sometimes the bruises are not visible outward but inward and it doesn't easily go away. Let's be kind and gentle to one another. This piece was painted using PanPastels on black paper.
This is inspired by the series of artwork idea I had about being “Good Enough.” When I was suffering from depression, insecurity, and low self-esteem, my pick-me-up is the thought that God loves ugly. God accepts you for who you are—flawed and imperfect. This is the first artwork for the “Good Enough” project. This piece is created with Faber-Castell mini Soft-Pastels. Let this artwork remind you that you are beautiful inside and out, let no one tell you otherwise. You are good enough!
